Hello everyone! :)

I helped start and played in a progressive rock band called Echoreason for a year but had to leave due to financial reasons. They are about to go into the studio to record their upcoming 2nd album "Loch" which is shaping up awesomely from what I heard at their 9 hour practice session last night! I wanted to share a little bit about them in hopes that they can get a little more traffic their direction! The reason I am promoting them is not only because I used to play with them or because they are good friends of mine, but also because they are my favorite band! We started the band to make music that we enjoyed listening to and it still holds true to this day!

Here is a demo of the last song I helped write with them titled "Fathomless" which will be re-recorded for the album!

Let me know what you think! If you end up liking them, add them on facebook!

BIO:
Echoreason is a rock band currently based out of Seattle, Washington. The band consists of guitarists/vocalists Eric Krakora and David Whitlock, bassist J. Derek Burgueňo, guitarist/keyboardist Joshua Hashman and drummer Jason Krakora. The band's style varies considerably, but borrows consistent elements from progressive rock, grunge, jazz, psychedelic, and heavy metal. The band played frequently in small venues in Everett area in its early days, and has since moved to play larger venues in Seattle and across the state.

The band was formed in February of 2010 in Lake Stevens, Washington, by original members and brothers Jason and Eric Krakora, bassist Nik Kenney, guitarist Henry Schultz, and keyboardist Kara Luna. Prior to the recording of Echoreason's independent debut EP, "Observations", Schultz had been replaced by vocalist/guitarist Whitlock, who introduced vocal harmonies to the band's sound. After the record's release, Kenney left the band and was replaced by Burgueňo on bass guitar. Luna split ways with the band in early 2012 and the band decided to divide keyboard and ambient duties amongst the remaining members.

"Observations" received airplay on local college radio, and Echoreason appeared in Seattle alternative magazine The Stranger after playing the opening slots for bands such as Sweden's Blindside and Texas' Scale the Summit. The band's energetic live shows led drummer Jason Krakora to secure a sponsorship with Seven Drumworks in early 2012. The band has announced plans to enter Rain City Studios in Portland to record its sophomore record, entitled "Loch". Echoreason is concurrently looking for a record label contract for its third album.

Welcome to the site!

When the band is ready, be sure to open a thread in the "suggest bands" thread if you wish to see them considered for addition to the site.  This is not the thread for that purpose....  There are also threads for unsigned bands and threads for sharing your music with the public....just poke around a little.

But welcome as a member and stick aroundSmile
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"
