This is really a great list John. I always liked Gomorrha's second but it's not my favorite. So I'm actually between Nova Express which is my favorite by the band, and Bebe Godzilla. Hmmm...

Patrick Gauthier it is then. It is quite obscure even for those who likes Zehul. Absolutely a beautiful album.

That Patrick Gauthier album was one of my early loves in the Zeuhl universe.  I have most of these albums, but it came down to the Christian Vander/ Magma album and Patrick Gauthier's in the end.  I voted for Wurdah Itah.  I really love that album.  It's one of my very favourite Christian Vander albums.

I almost forgot that that Magma album is actually a solo Christian Vander record. A stripped down version of Magma i suppose with him, Stella, Blasquiz and Top only. It's rated very high on this site as well.

I kind of figured the bottom three on this list would be in tough. We've talked a little about Gommorha but Mythos' debut is a spacey, trippy, atmospheric record with plenty of flute. The sitar of course brings an Eastern feel.
Missus Beastly's album is more Jazz than Krautrock. The keyboardist from Missing Liink played on this one. He would go onto play on Embryo's "We Keep On" recording.

^I went and voted for MythosBig smile
Not the biggest fan of the vocals, but man that instrumental section just smokes!

Well I listened to that HS album, and while very enjoyable I'm still voting for City Of Mirrors.

I actually just ordered the H Spacefolk album so I shouldn't vote til I get a chance to listen to it. But I quite like City Of Mirrors, and just may have to fold and vote for it. Tongue

Wurdah Itah is great of course as well.

I'm glad you mentioned City Of Mirrors. A project of U-Totem's James Grigsby this is such an adventerous and interesting release. This was inspired by Big Band leader Stan Kenton from the USA who pushed the envelope back in the Swing era forties with his massive 40 piece band who performed a piece called City Of Glass which was unique back in the day. James has a 14 piece band here including flautist and vocalist Emily Hay as well as Dave Kerman on percussion. Even the cover art takes us to that period in the forties.

Ah cool! I didn't know that. Probably explains why I like this one so much then. TongueBig smile
