I want to make an experimental song. It will be weird and odd. No musical talent is needed, just recording equipment and one of these instruments:

Drums (for a simple, steady beat)
Drums (Jamie Muir style improv)
Bass
Xylophone
Piano
Guitar
Violin
Saxophone

send me a PM if you're interested

Asking for a certain improv style might not be ideal.

Would Vibes or Marimba be a sufficient replacement for the xylophone?

Good luck.

I have and can play most of those instruments, but don't really have any recording technology other than my laptop, sadly.

Well, does it have a microphone and do you own some sort of recording software?

It has the internal Mac microphone and I have Audacity for recording. It may not be up to the quality you're looking for though.

I don't care about the quality, as long as it's not really bad.

What's your timeframe on this? All my instruments are at my parents' house right now (besides a ukulele.) If this can wait until November when I go home for thanksgiving I could record saxophone (tenor), guitar, piano, clarinet, Hammond Organ and maybe even a little violin.

I don't really have a time frame, so I can wait

I have a saxophone.  I can dip it in a vat of grape jelly and send you something really out-there.

Do you have any strawberry? I find grape sounds a little bit tinny.

I stand impressed by your discerning taste.
