Yes, we judge each case individually and make informed decisions that best serve the PA, its members and most importantly, the member most affected by the decision. What we do not do is blindly apply the rules - that would be consistent but it would also be indiscriminate. In the case of under 13s indiscriminate application of the rules would mean banning every member under the age of 13, that includes smartpartrol and lmaorofllollmao. Allowing all under-13s to stay is not an option.
Drawing attention to the subject of the under-13s is a really stupid thing to do - you are not fighting a cause, you are backing the PA into a corner where it will have no choice but to indiscriminately enforce the rules, that includes banning lmaorofllollmao for 9 days until his 13th birthday - and that's dumb. [I agreed with lmaorofllollmao that we could ban him for 9 days, I never said we would, and so far we haven't].

Dean, i apriciate that you're trying to make a point, a point I agree with, but all these people mentioning that I'm not following the rules is not helping my case. Everyone needs to just shut up about it for the next four months.

More or less. These things have pretty much lost their 'shininess' at PA. And he's not really well known around here. I was surprised to read he was a member here for as long as he's been. Being that, I don't think there was ever much hope for there being a long line of people saying 'oh nooo, please stay ' type posts. No offense to ZW intended btw.

More or less. These things have pretty much lost their 'shininess' at PA. And he's not really well known around here. I was surprised to read he was a member here for as long as he's been. It happens on every forum at sometime or another and most OPs will lurk their farewell threads looking for stray sympathy to suck up. I've never really liked making scenes or those who do.

I got a smack down for over quoting lyrics. I got snarkey about it. Was re-smacked and on second thought I knew I was out of line. I apologized and moved on. I still post abrasive things but strive to maintain the decorum in my commentary.

Been here since the beginning & we used to get them all the time; post a farewell thread, then sit there hitting 'refresh' praying for the "oh please don't go, you're soooo cool, and soooo loved" posts.
