Why do farts smell?
So deaf people can enjoy them too.

In familiar talking, it's said "Pet" (verb: pêter).
You can say "Vent" ("wind"), which is a little bit classier (but just a little bit).
Then, you have the very scientifical "Flatulence".
Kids say "Prout", so when we hear that the Romanian river called "Prut" is flooding, we have to struggle not to laugh in a very immature way.

Yoosoof !!! Is another word which refers to a smelly fart. You could call it a sub genre of farts, like Heavy prog.

I like this one: "Spontaneous Combustion Ignition Process".
