This is a rock project by Mark Vanstone, based in Buckingham, UK. (not to be confused with the Seattle-based project of the same name which you can read about here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=85675).

It will run until December 21st 2012. You can find lots more info about it on Mark's facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/AnunnakiBand or his bandpage: http://listn.to/Anunnakiband . At the end of 2011 he released the first animated video in the project which can be seen on Youtube:

- It's a little bit rude but hopefully it won't offend anyone too much  - The imagery is all metaphoric symbolism of the content of the song.

All the music in this project is being released under a Creative Commons license - this means you are free to copy, re-distribute and even incorporate the songs into your own works (music, soundtracks or videos) for personal or commercial use - the only requirement from Mark being that you credit him and/or the Anunnaki project (links to his pages would be a nice touch).  He retains the copyright of the music in this project, & would be very pleased to hear what that music has been used for.

Mark also has a commercial interest - he runs a company called TechnoVisual which produces a wide range of multimedia including short runs of CD and DVD packs for indie artists.

So far four tracks have been finished, and you can listen to them at soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/theanunnaki or via his band website: http://www.anunnakiband.co.uk/ or even his facebook bandpage: http://www.facebook.com/AnunnakiBand#!/AnunnakiBand/app_178091127385.

Here's another one that he's put on Youtube:

Damn fine Crossover Prog, if I might say so - the music is essentially based around the Neo Prog style to my ears, but there are also gothic and metal influences contained within, so I guess it'll land on Crossover's turf in the end...The album should certainly be a good 'un if the rest of it is in a similar vein to this!  Thumbs Up  Sadly we're gonna have to wait till December for the finished article, but more tracks will be made available for listening via the links given above as and when they are finished throughout the year.

I will update this thread from time to time to keep you all up to speed...
