I rate Sydney Australia the Black Hole of Prog. Why?

Only 3 record stores to my knowledge have a reasonable if wildly incomplete catalogue. HMV in the city has a good collection of the famous bands and a few not so famous such as Ozrics but then only one or two albums. Red Eye in the city is ok but expensive and Utopia on George street has lumped prog into the heavy metal section so you have to sift through to find any. Again a good collection of Yes Rush and genesis but not much else. I have bought in absentia and Frances the mute there also but only one disc in stock.

Yes have toured here twice in 35 years Tull recently came after a long absence, Rick is here soon on a mini overpriced solo tour and apart from that.............i really can't think of much.

From here it seems that britain and europe and the usa get pretty much everything is that the case?

There stands Olias to outward to build a ship
Holding within all we hope to retain
The frame will be so built to challenge the universe
Clasped with the skins of the fish of the plain
