It's not that I actually hate the guy, I just think his voice is quite annoying and outta place regarding the sub-genre of prog he develops in. Though, I believe he'll do better if he tried pop or mushy ballads for instance... I even admitted over my Dream Theater review that what he did on "Scenes from a Memory" was quite remarkable and intertwined, measuring up to the lirycism and musical arrangements. But still, I have my doubts about him... still sucking big time man!

Well, he is actually a DT trade mark, don't you think? and i you don't like it, you probabbly won't like DT also. (very good singer btw.)

The guy has both the talent and the woice. I like his voice, when his in good shape he`s one of the best. Too bad he`s not always in form. Just hear him singing "In the Name OF God" thats briliant... Anyway, one of the best singers i`ve ever heard and trust me I heard a lot of them...

he´s ok but nothing like the best voice ever. sometimes i belive he is overacting with his performance.

if you want a realy great metal voice try Geoff Tate.
