Disc 1 is flawless. Disc 2 is overall weaker, but still a joy to listen.
Favorite Track... Disc 1: Remainder the Black Dog. Though like mentioned above, all of them are amazing.
Favorite Tracks... Disc 2: Track One or Like Dust I Have Cleared From My Eye.

Still unsure about the rating. 4-5 for sure, but no idea which is more appropriate.
Crushed like a rose in the riverflow.

A reviewer for Rolling Stone gave Grace for Drowning 4 stars out of 5.  It was the highest rated album of the albums rated in the November 22nd issue.  It is a small review, but here is a link if anyone is interested.  http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/grace-for-drowning-20111122

I like our reviews better.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I was just impressed that they even mentioned it.  They also had a review of a Sigur Ros DVD by the same reviewer, so I assuming that he drew the shortest straw and has to review stuff from that icky prog genre.

Couple of listens on, a bit disapointing, don't like it nearly as much as I do Insurgentes. Ashorter album would have been a safer bet, I reckon...

Actually, I find the album is too short.

And not because I think it's amazing or anything like that. Tongue

Great Album!
Highlights for me were Remainder the Black Dog, Raider II, and Index.
I've had it since it hit the shelves and spun it many times now.  It's amazing how cheap CD's are now, got it at Best Buy for $9.99.

I'll echo an earlier sentiment that I think that Insurgentes was only slightly better.  I give Grace 4.5 and Insurgentes a 4.8. I like the bonus CD's on Insurgentes with the 5.1 mix on my sound system....simply amazing.

Just got this today.  This is top shelf stuff, very pleasantly surprised.  I was heavily into PT a few years ago, but have kind of slipped in recent years, and "Incident" left me feeling the well was starting to run dry.  No fear: Wilson's got the goods.

Already got this album and really liked it a lot. Perhaps some songs are a bit too soft, and not all so good... but in the end the overall result of the album is incredible, and every song adds something to it. Somehow I feel that this is how prog should be sounding now, fresh and all, despite the fact that it has influences from earlier prog.
