There a separate thread on PA called Music and Musicians Exchange which may provide further fertile ground for you. Welcome to the site Erik.

Thanks!
I'm not sure whether you are redirecting me to ask the question there or if you are just recommending that area to learn a little more about the subject. I don't want to start off reposting the same question if I don't need to. I have been in a couple of forums where I do things they didn't appreciate. I'll just check it out before I try to repost. Playing it safe this time! LMAO!!!
Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion! Much appreciated!
Erik

Relax Erik, as an unsigned artist your post in firmly in the correct place. My suggestion was just that, a recommendation to a thread which may be of interest and value to you.

I listened to Blow Me Away. I'd comment on the site, but its not letting me... I really like the progression. It would benefit from other instruments being added in. Other than that, quite professional sounding. Not quite prog, but not to mainstream. Nice and indie. Maybe add some more vocal harmonies, but that's just me.

based on the first two cuts, if you want the straight poop, I would not call your material progressive rock (not enough changes, altered tempos, or different moods); if I knew there were other, more prog cuts on that page, I'd listen to those-- but then that's why you posted here isn't it

Thanks everyone! It is so cool that I got this many responses in such a short period. Other sites I don't get this much attention. I may have to prog my songs up a bit to show my appreciation! LOL! But really, thanks for your time and thoughts - your active participation makes this place a very cool site. MUCH appreciated!

Ever heard the saying "If you have to ask how much it costs, then you probably can't afford it."?

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

@ martinprog77: Thanks a lot! That compliment and your advice is worth more to me than if I made a couple of bucks off of my music and had no idea where it came from or why... AND I AM UNEMPLOYED! LMAO!
@ slartibartfast: Yes, I have heard that saying before. But, I have also heard Rodney Dangerfield say something about not having money as a kid and if he weren't a boy then he would have never had anything to play with as a kid, and another saying about if people want to know what God (no, I'm not pushing religion - it's a saying! LOL!) thinks about money all you have to do is take a look at the A-holes he gives it to - not to forget about the sayings in tunes about having money - plus, if you don't ask, you are setting yourself up for being ripped-off, which is something that should be called out and brought to people's attention. I have tons more to say about that quote, but I'm sure you get the idea of why I needed to ask rather than weigh it out myself - it's a whole lot faster to get an initial idea than to spend a day and a half of absorbing myself with the question and figuring it out for myself. LMAO!!!
