will someone help me find two 80s/90s pop/rock songs, somewhat like a quest?two songs by different artsits, the only thing i remember is that the 80s song have a strong finger picking, electric guitar main riff, in a sort of AOR style, with pretty solid guitar, but it is a ballad i guess, the singer have a rich strong voice, sort of between 86 and 90 i guess

the guitar motif is very distinct and original for the song, you know it is that song when you hear the guitar line, the guitar tone is sort of clean with chords which are saturated Confused

the other is a 90s piano ballad , Lead instrument is a piano, very strong piano melodie, the singer sounds a litle like Elton John, the piano melodie and chord progressions/variations shifts throughout the hole duration of that song, but i never remember the name of the artist, genre pop/rock piano rock ballad, grand piano,  age early 90s i think

the piano melodie is very distinct yet melodic

any hints, or ideas which song it is

i have been looking out for these songs like forever, THEY ARE NOT PROG IN THE SLIGHTEST Tongue

(for the guitar one)

the guitar is for lack of words more sustained, hypnotic, clean voiced guitar, airy, it also have a climatic solo if that helps

but thanks any way, memorable songs that are nice to listen to once in a while, for just easy listning sake of it Big smile

i like it when i have no clue, yet the songs are so distinct and noticable yet the bands are "not" that well known, yet the songs are really standout, bouth becouse of they are really well written, and are effective enough to not get boring. Confused

the guitar sound similar to the guiartone on  Chris Reas - Road Hell, also in mood i guess

this song is also in similar mood as the guiar song (but the piano is the stand out here)

sorry if I plague you with this music LOL, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YX-Ru1XkNZc this song is actualy ellaborate in its smoothness,

this is probably the closest in the guitar track department so fare, this is very close to what im after Embarrassed
yes it is elevator music, so what Tongue

the piano song could be one by Joshua Kadison (Elton John esque piano rock), i have to sheck some of his songs, i think i am narrowing or closing into something, yet i feel it not him really, but close...

he is very good on piano

the piano song is like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6cgOV9KjW8&feature=related, but the piano is more repative, circular, and hypnotic like the guiar track yet it is a piano song, but the aproach of both songs (intrumentaly is similar), cirkular melidie lines with tiny effective chords preogressions, it sort of roles repeatadly, song is more upbeat
