Topic: Favorite song from "Third" by Soft Machine? Posted: January 17 2011 at 16:38 |
I'd have to go with "Facelift", although the whole album is terrific!

i always loved out-bloody rageous. firstly, its intro(and similarly the outro) is what i am really expecting from a canterbury scene band. i mean psychedelia at its best; a simple continuous melody and there comes the saxophones. also the saxophone part through the end is beautiful.

I love all the songs, however, I feel that Moon in June is the most memorable (it's the only song I can really remember the melodies from now). So my vote goes for it.

Tough call though. Excellent album.

I'll big it up for "Slightly All the Time". Tough choice.

Nice, I was just listening to this album in my car and I come home to see this poll! My vote for Moon in June, I feel like I can play that song over and over, just for Wyatt's singing, bass, and keyboards

How weird, didn't we have the EXACT same poll just a few weeks ago?

Moon in June, though they're all great. Didn't we just have this poll a week or two ago though?

Slightly All The Time.
Something about the hypnotic groove in this song just makes me happy.

Out-bloody-rageous is mine. Ratledge always hooks me with those ostinatos.
