1. Had to omit several titles because he has more than allowed spaces. Sorry if I deleted your favorite.
2. You don't have to have seen them all to vote in this poll. Vote on what you have seen! ![]() |

And for major embarrassment factor, let me boldly state that I had no idea which director this was.
In fact, I Googled, and arrived at this. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0940393/ But that wasn't right... ![]() Okay I know I now need to ![]() |

Yeah, but you omitted Play It Again, Sam. I mean, c'mon... ![]() Of these I would pick Sleeper.

I love that one too, but it's not an Allen film. He starred and wrote, but this poll is for Woody's movies (as director.)

I've only seen Scoop. It's a good enough movie, not great, but it has Scarlett Johansson.

I voted for Broadway Danny Rose principally because I think it the most successful hybrid of early 'wisecrack' Woody and the later more realistic sombre Woody. (It also contains both his and Mia Farrow's finest acting performance in any of their movies to date IMO)

I love so many that I really don't know. The gorgeous cinematography of Manhattan. The serious and dramatic "Interiors" and "Another Woman," the latter featuring Gena Rowlands in an amazing performance. "Crimes and Misdemeanors" is a perfect morality tale. There are so many great comedies, MMM, Annie, Deconstructing, Hannah. Some of the comedies can be dated now, but the dramatic stuff holds up well. "Stardust Memories" is a favorite of many hardcore Allen fans.
He is one of the great American directors, even if his work in the last ten years has sucked, and his 90s work was pretty hit and miss. |

The wonderful opening of Manhattan, when the city was still real, still gritty, before the city was "Disney-fied" to make it palatable to the masses. I have to watch this again soon!

A very impressive resume for Mr. Woodman to say the least. I forgot what epic directing he did on Sex Carnage 3. Especially after the really contrived Hustler Casting Couch No. 11. I guess all our careers have their ebbs and flows. |
