I know that this is probably not gonna happen but I have been thinking about this for some days now, there are meny bands that are being sugested for progarchives from this three spessific genres (more then from any else). they are bands that are on borderline issue that they aint prog enough, that the prog tratis are scatered all around their discographi but not as in one single album.

I think post-punk, new wave and AOR to be the rightfull offsprins off the progressive rock movement (in  philosophi not in style) together with Neo prog in the 80s, I think it is all fine that bands like Boston, the Police, Ultravox, Killing Joke, Toto, Foreigner, Dire Straits (not sure what they are), Talking Heads, Gary Wright, the Buggles, Scorpions (not striclty AOR) you know of probably more then I, will not be forced  here in  bocouse die hard fans don't see straight when they argue about their favourite bands.

is it possible to make a section that are not interfering  wiith the renkings of the progalbums, much like Prog Related and Proto-Prog. I feel it is saf that this three very sofisticated, inventive, mostly virtoustic, somtmes experimental, boundery braking genres are not privliged to be aart of IMO the best music rating/reviewing/forum place i know of. Ive been reading reviews (both film, books, music, tv series,) in both amazon, IMDB, AMG, other prog sites, rock sites, but none are so effective and have the minds l,ike PA (and MMA)

and bands like Killing joke (whom is Post punk), the Police (new- wave/post punk), Boston (AOR) the two former which are hughly influentual, from genres which are progressive in aproach (from when they were fresh, like prog rock in the beginning 69 - 75) from between 76(77)- until 84 or so, (in the 90s it was Post-rock, prog metal and prgressive alternative (new prog) who were fresh, and 00, it was post metal, or to ealy to say music)

okey not more to add (i like to use A LOT of words sorry Embarrassed)

Prog-related is there for that!!
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

If I ever had to name something that was wrong with this site, a lack of AOR and new wave would never be one, no matter how long my list had to be. There's alread prog related, anything that should belong fits there. Boston is just slightly more complex than average slick mainstream rock, so they don't belong here.
if you own a sodastream i hate you
