It's good... It's a bit premature to judge it against the great Tyranny but it's growing on me.

Good tracks are "Comfort me", "Andromeda Strain", "Rain" right now.

The concept is a bit confusing, at least more so than Tyranny in my opinion.  The production is subpar I think as well.  It sounds too 'thin' if that makes sense.

There are a couple of reviews already, including mine. I think it is their best album, combining Carved In Stone and Tyranny. The story is quite unusual, and not what you'd expect. And the bonus disc is really worth the extra money (read the review).

Is "Tyranny" (parts 1 & 2) a prerequisite to "Room 5" (parts 3 &4) ?

I just ordered "Room 5" and I wonder if it is good as a stand-alone CD, or if it is cool because it is a continuation of "Tyranny".

If it's worth playing, it's worth playing loud!

It's not strictly necessary, and Room V doesn't give away (spoil) many story details of Tyranny. The albums are mostly connected through the first track of Room V.

I'm new to the band but think they're absolutely amazing. Haven't heard Tyranny so I can't compare Room V to that but it does have some amazing songs on, in particular, "Comfort Me", "Vow", "Archer of Ben Salem"
"And so as I patrol in the valley of the shadow of the tricolour I must fear evil for I am but mortal and mortals can only die."

I AM HERE!!!!!!!!

The 2 SG concept albums are absolutely ORGASMIC!!!!!

Tyranny is more emotional & Symphonic The Room V, witch has a nice more metal edge 2 it, but still is VERY emotional ("Comfort me" gives me shivers all the time)... The Story is supreme & very intelligent, but still a a bit Corney (The title song's chorus is Corney, although God damn addictive!!!) This is THE album of 2005!!!!!! Anyone have the jap ed? It has a bonus song with more info on the story!!! They'r gonna make a DVD "The making of Tyranny & Room V" & maybe go on  a small Tour somewhere in 2006/2007(they have a lot 2 do - eg. Gary's wife is pregnant!)... Lets wait!!!!
