Naervaer is a Norwegian experimental folk project that grew more or less out of In the Woods... and should be able to fit into the prog folk genre. They haven't been very productive over the years but I believe they're still active.


Basically all their material is streamable on this site (NOTE: the first few songs are Terje Sagen's solo material; Skiftninger is their only real studio album)

I listened to most of the streamed samples.  They sound like a cross between post-rock and ambient; hints of metal influence waiting to break out at any time but never quite does.  Not sure what to make of them.  We're waiting on input from the other Prog Folk team members....
