Hi guys
Update on our release schedule up to June. Aprils are now nearly all back in with us. These are PFM-Chocolate Kings (2CD) (Manticore) SFF-Symphonic Pictures (2CD) (Reactive) SFF-Sunburst (Reactive) Alan Bown-Stretching Out Alan Bown-Listen Hawkwind-Church of Hawkwind (Atomhenge) Harvey Bainbridge—Dreams, Omens and Strange Encounters—new studio album (atomhenge) Clark Hutchinson-Free to be Stoned anthology (2CD covering all 3 albums in full--no ommissions) Fuhrs and Frohling-Ammerland (Reactive) The eagle eyed among you may have spotted face to face interviews between Peter Banks (ex Yes) and Harvey Bainbridge (ex Hawkwind) and Mark Powell on You Tube. This was done for Cherry Red TV and can be found at www.cherryred.tv. Go to interviews and then artists stories. Cherry red TV has many interesting interviews of labels and artists and music business "stuff" on there and is well worth a look and is free. Im sure some of you may know that Hawkwind will be headlining the Mojo nominations evening at HMV in London in early May. Details re timings and ticketing will no doubt appear on the Hawkwind website when known . Maybe the band will win an award this year after Atomhenge being runners up last year in the catalogue section.! Who knows! Everything crossed. As mentioned before the May remastered titles are as follows SFF-Ticket to Everywhere (on Reactive) Soft machine-Bundles (not on CD since the early 90's) (Softs, Alive and well : Recorded in Paris and Land of Cockayne will follow) Sam Gopal-Escalator Jade Warrior-Way of the Sun (formerly on Eclectic) Jade Warrior-Kites (formerly on Eclectic) Flash-Out of our Hands Hawkwind-Xenon Codex (Atomhenge) Psychedelic Warriors (Hawkwind)—White Zone (Atomhenge) Junes remastered titles will be as follows Brainticket-Psychonaut---- (Reactive) Brainticket-celestial Ocean- (Reactive) Flash-In the can---- Soft machine-Softs- High Tide-High Tide-(formerly on Eclectic) High Tide-Sea Shanties-(formerly on Eclectic) Aphrodites Child-End of the World, Rain and Tears - Aphrodites Child-Its five o clock- Lloyd Langton Group-Night air (atomhenge) As I know I will be asked---- the High Tide reissues will be the same as the Eclectic reissues--they will just be available again. Also of interest in May may be two Greg Lake/various releases---- from the Underground Volume 1 and volume 2. These will be on one of Cherry Reds other labels "Lemon" and I will post on these shortly. I thought I would mention them in case people saw them out there and wondered if they were "legit" Kind Regards and many thanks for the support as always. I've had bad experiences of releases from Esoteric, Cherry red and 70's records, they've been using vinyl sources (John Miles' "Zaragon", for example) and have "over-remastered" several releases, especialy 10cc's "Look hear" wich is way to bright. Camel's "Nude" (though wonedrefully packaged and compiled) doesn't sound better then the original CD, quite the contrary, I think.. Hope they do better in future though.

I can state that we dont use vinyl sources at Esoteric. In the very vast majority of cases we always use the original master tapes. Im sorry you didnt like the audio on Nude, it is always in the ears of the beholder.. I get many emails from all over the world from people who compliment the audio and packaging
I cant speak for the other labels sources-- as we all work separately |
