Topic: Shem-Tov Levi.... but WHERE? Posted: February 28 2010 at 10:24
Shem-Tov Levi (pianist, flutist and singer) is one of the greatest and most influential figures in Israeli music and prog (being part of projects such as Ktzat Acheret, Sheshet and The Family Album).... the thing is that he has experimented with a really diverse range of styles including: eclectic prog (being gentle Giant his main influence), fusion, latin-jazz (ala Chick Corea),jazz, Mediterranean folk, Israeli folk and pop.... so it is very confusing at the time of classifying it...
He has declared that his main prog influences are Chick Corea,Gentle Giant, Yes and ELP.
Vote, comment, or whatever....
