     For many, many years. i had no idea that former Triumvirat musician-singer-songwriter Helmut Koellen was musically active, and made some memorable recordings, after he left the group at the end of 1975. Despite his early demise in 1977, Helmut had joined with german group Jail and helped record their only album entitled You Can Help Me. An obscurity,but luckily, it was issued on cd in 2000. It is a great record that merges progressive rock with a more mainstream sound that should have been a hit. 
              Perhaps Helmut's most personal musical work is his complete solo album entitled You Won't See Me, named for the famous Beatles song that he does a cover of. It was released after he died, and remains a lasting, and spirited musical statement.It involves various musical influences like jazz, and rock, and even a bit of a folk feel in parts. Like Jail, it unites progressive textures with a more mainstream sound.  Unfortunately, it is very hard to come by, and has never seen the light of day onto cd. You Won't See Me also features Jurgen Fritz, and Passport musician Dieter Petereit, among others. Perhaps the above information will inspire some music fans to explore these relatively unkown musical experiences-here's hoping you do!
