The UK magazine, aimed at  the second records market has a big feature on prog (Then ... And Now). The cover has an interesting merger of Peter Gabriel and Thom Yorkes' heads. Worth getting if you're this side of the Atlantic .

They have taken a poll: - "20 must-have prog masterpieces (& their values!!)" although I haven't heard of one of the dozen so-called jury who came up with the 20! And there are the 20 with some reasonable reviews and the current price of the original vinyl versions (or quadraphonic vinyl versions, if they were produced and you have them). However, full marks for attempting to visualise the relationship between 50 or so prog bands as a sort of planetary system - bizarrely the planet ELP has the moons Chicago (early), Muse, Nice and Mars Volta circling round it (LOL), while Colosseum, Mahavishnu O and Nucleus are orbiting planet Soft Machine - and you should see which bands are in the meterorite belt. But no Planet Gong????????  Well it is one way of explaining inter-relationships - (but as Mr Spock would say) but not as we know it,(if nothing else some of those orbits will defy Newtons laws of gravitation).
