First time i meet GH i buy " Chronometree" and write about this album in PA forum. Many of PA friends advise me to buy " Shadowlands" . When i find " Shadowlands" my friend give me " The middle earth album". WOW. Whats that? The 100% folk album. "Chronometree" is a very good album in " cross over " sub-gen. " Shadowlands" is one of powerful album in " symphonic-prog" style and very similar to GENESIS. after listening to these albums i confused. what they are doing and why? what they want to say? I love this band but i want to ask you : Is this path correct for a band? I dont know. can you help me?

Hey,
Great question :)  Every GH album is different than the last IMHO.  The Middle-earth Album is certainly the most unusual of all our albums.  Our first album was based on Lord of the Rings and we had many requests to do another album on the same topic.  The Middle-earth Albums is what we came up with and has been very popular with the Tolkien crowd - who have also been introduced to our prog titles as a result.  So - its not a direction for GH - just something we wanted to try and may try again one day.
Thanks!
Steve
