Some records seem to be the right record for the evening, others are nice to wake up with. Some music is suited for that long evening with dark candle light...

Let's all make al list of a perfect day like this:

Morning: Focus' Hamburger concerto
Daytime: Gryphon's Red Queen to Gryphon's Tree
Evening: Procol Harum' Grand Hotel
Night: Pulsar's Pollen

I follow the thinking, and normaly i would start up with something smooth in the morning.
Getting more and more into Heavy or Experimental during the Daytime Evening.
Often getting a bit Jazz'y late night or at least not Metal/Heavy.

But making 1 selection to top any other combination, impossible.

Morning - In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson. I have some great memories waking up to this album back in 2007 when I was continously flying around. Best time of my life!

Daytime - Wolfmother by Wolfmother. Another life soundtrack album following me ever since I was gifted this album back in 2k7.

Evening - Argus by Wishbone Ash. Nothing is as great as easing your day to the sound of what I probably think is the world's most perfect album. Ash in 2007 rocked.

Night - Islands by King Crimson. I fall asleep to this album every day, so of course it gets my vote.
Trendsetter win!

The search for nonexistent perfection.

Isn't The Moody Blues Days of Future Passed based on an entire day?
