I haven't had much luck finding free progressive rock mp3 downloads, but I am impressed by the Get Ready to Rock website. There is more melodic rock than progressive rock, but the quality of the music is very high. The revelation for me is Van Hielan, a Van Halen tribute act, who are amazing. Classic Rock magazine's Track of the Day site lists promising material, but much of it is out of date and unavailable.
 
Can anyone recommend free mp3 material which can really be downloaded and saved.
