   Sounds like a bug. The person moving the thread does not have the facility you mention. 

Could you report it in the "report bugs" section please, and M@x will check it out.

Hi,
There is an issue with each individual forum's folder not updating the indexes when one of you guys moves a thread to its proper location ... 
The index that is left behind is the one that shows that thread before it is moved. The thread index should re-index right after a thread is pulled out/off, just like it should re-index when it is added to another folder.

You can see this when you hit reply and look at the top ... and the thread is on a completely different area.
My guess is that the person that is moving these is not aware that they have to also update the drop down list for the folders/forums
