Eamon's Day has some of the best melodic prog I have heard recently but I can't find much information on them.  I was expecting Prog Archives.com to have some info but I don't see anything.  Does anyone know about this group?  I heard them on Live365.com.

Probably because the name is very difficult to use as a search keyword I have been unable to find any reference to them being evaluated or proposed for addition.

I'll move this thread to the Suggest New Bands lounge, Listening to the samples they remind me of Carptree, so perhaps Neo Prog should be the first stop.

I would use the term "melodic" progressive music to describe this group's sound - at least on Eamon's Day.  I have not had the chance to listen to their other music yet but I just purchased all of their other CD's from KinesisCD.com.

By "melodic" I mean that it is straightforward, easy to comprehend music that you can appreciate the first time you hear it.

I find that their straightforward music is similar to IQ in this respect.

This is not to denigrate their music by any means.  It is just to contrast it with, say, The Watch or The Flower Kings, which took me several attempts to really appreciate.  Even Genesis and most Marillion songs need to grow on you before you appreciate them.

Yes, finaly this band is here in sugest new bands. This dutch band plays neo prog all the way and a good one for sure. Great band with at least 3 albums  are top notch : Eamon's day , The young and the restless and their last one from last year Climbing mount improbable. I'm for inclusion  at neo prog.
