Czeslaw Niemen has died

   This Polish artist died on january the 17th and he deserves a tribute from all prog lovers. 
-In fact, his "Enigmatic" LP, released in 1969 features an unforgettable epic track (Bema pamieci zalobny-rapsod : 'Mourner's rhapsody') that begins with church organs and evolves into a 'progressive' track with theatrical voices and a choir. 
-Later in his career, Niemen played with members of the greatest Polish jazz-fusion band : SBB. 
-He even played on an LP called "Mourner's rhapsody" (1974) with the following people : 
Jan Hammer : drums
Michal Urbaniak : violin
Rick Laird : bass
Don Grolnick : piano
John Abercrombie : guitar
Steve Khan : guitar
and many others...
-He formed the same year a "progressive" band called AEROLIT.
-Then in 1975 he released a solo album, in which he sings and plays percussions, keyboards, mellotron, guitar and the moog.
So, with such an impressive discography he deserves a tribute and to be included in the progarch' files. RIP, Czeslaw.

	I'm sorry to hear of the passing of a fine prog musician, Lucas. I didn't know his work, but if you say he was good, that's good enough for me. Too bad. Edited by Peter Rideout
