Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch

/Progressive_rock_discography_includes/functions_utils.asp, line 35

This message appears when I insert a new album. Specifically happened to me on the page of Jimi Hendrix.

What?

a budget compilation. Is a 3 CDs compilation. Not bootleg, secure. This album is from Holland.

This album called 'The Best Of Jimi Hendrix' have a red cover with Hendrix photo... And it is really interesting.

Well... Since the cover is red... And I know that the red by problems with some processes in electronics (with optical reading pens, for example) I thought that the problem is the colour of the cover. I made the attempt 3 times with different cover picture formats (with different formatting density and measures) but nothing... Always the same.

Also I can not even put reviews ... HTTP500 is the error that appears!

^ I don't think the problem is not related to the image or the album being added - it is just a glitch that M@X will fix. However, the database will not add any image that is too big.

I would suggest you do not add any budget albums to Hendrix - there are literally hundreds of them and we do not need to list every one here since it does not really make for a "complete discography" by including them. We should concentrate on official studio releases, live albums, compilations and those sanctioned by Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. and the Hendrix Foundation that have been released on major labels.
What?

Seconded Dean.

Mandie, we appreciate all your efforts, but it would be best to cut down or stop altogether the addition of supermarket compilations for any artist. They just clutter the discographies. For any which do slip through, please try to investigate the souce of the material and give details of that. None of it is new, so it must already be available in other packages.

It has nothing to do with the colour of the album, just a glitch in the system.

Here is a list (from Wikipedia) of Hendrix's "official" posthumous releases:

http://www.jimihendrix.com/index.php

I believe we should use this as our guide.

I'm getting the same problem with a review of Mostly Autumn's Last Bright Light. Like a Muppet, I've tried about five times, so I hope it doesn't come up five times when the glitch is fixed!

Clap  I couldn't agree more... and stuff the compilations...  with someone like Hendrix you could add 100's of them I suspect.  That said.. there are official releases that won't be on that list... like the album I added Live At Winterland.  There was a gap in time before Jimi's father got control of this discography... Rykodisc put out 1 ... I think 2 live albums of his.  Official... since they had the rights to the music... but probably not sanctioned now by the Hendrix family....which is a shame.. since they've got out of print from what I understand.  LaW might have been the best live Hendrix recording out there.

I have the same micky position.

I added this compilation... I too am of the opinion that Hendrix is at risk of having 100 compilation in database. Precisely for this reason I decided to put this compilation, which contains pre first album recordings and live recordings.

I had already decided to stop here this type of inclusions (after this inclusion). Because Hendrix recordings available in the past were proposed as recorded without remaster, it is virtually impossible to listen calmly. This is an exception that I want to do. I had other budget compilation that I gave as really bad.

P.s.: for color... Even I had reached the same condition. In fact I thought that if I was able to scan the cover color was not the problem.

For the albums without reviews... Now everything seems OK.

Now I try to plug the album and see what happens.

excellent.. thanks Mandy... I thought it was a valid fear of the site of having his discography overrun with compilations.  Thanks for understanding on that.  Heart
