Sometimes the reactions to a joke just show how much (related) truth it contains.
The problem is not a purist position x an inclusive approach. The real question is: how far this policy will lead this site? I'm a rock fan above all, and prog rock is for me a subdivision of my rock involvement; I believe that even if prog-related isn't the focal point of this site the repetitive reactions to some inclusions reveal that, more than a purist thing, waht sometimes happen here (with certain frequency IMO) is challenge to common sense and historic perspective on pop music.
I do believe that we can defend any point of view with good arguments without compromise with the real reasons that guide us. I love Budgie, a hard rock band, and any argument in the world can change this fact. If someone three years ago had proposed this he would face public ridiculous, because tehere isn't any special relation between Budgie and prog rock. Simple as that. But the list goes on and on...

I think that some of my fellow countrymen would say "Aaaah! Bah!".
