And my world will never be the same. Phenomenal album. Of course, I'm probably overrating it a bit based on the fact that it happened to be exactly what I was thirsting for, but I haven't been this blown away by a modern band since Anglagard.

Any thoughts?

Is their debut worth getting?

Wow, maybe I'll listen to that today, I've only heard it once.  I only have Skymind, but I know others who have Mister Green and think it's every bit as good.

Both are albums are really awesome, but I haven't been able to give either of them more than a cursory listen. They are both expensive online, and I don't enjoy music nearly as much unless I own it. So I sampled them from a friend, liked them, and got stuck on amazon.

The day they're cheap, though, I'm purchasing.

I luckily got both of them before they went out of print or whatever it was. They are indeed both fantastic albums. If you find Mister Green, it is absolutely worth your time. Of course, I think much higher of modern prog than you do, so I don't find myself blown away by them, but I enjoy them.

Taal's debut is very good.  It had a bigger impact on me than Skymind, but then it was my first by Taal (and one of my early forays into modern progressive rock).  I can't say that I've listened to either Taal album in quite a long time (nor Anglagard, for that matter, which I absolutely loved).  I moved on to other things.
