I really really love BTBAM. Colors is an absolute masterpiece and nothing can ever replace it. I'm worried the band will never ever be able to top Colors.

I really hope they do though.

Whats your take on this?

I just ordered the live album-

I think they will be able to throw out some equally amazing stuff. I see the band getting better and better with each release- much like Opeth.

i think Colors is great and will definitely be tough to top, however it's possible. I tend to prefer Opeth's earlier stuff though, I just like them better with the rawer, more lamentful sound.

I certainly hope the chemistry stays intact and they keep delivering, I really think they will...

I'm more worried about them splitting up (knocks on wood) than what the future may hold for them.

Well, Colors will be unbeatable unless they change up the formula significantly. I read that they might be trying a bonafide concept album for their next release. I see a lot of potential there. Also, I would love to see Tommy can utilize more of his crazy variety of voices. Mainly I just want him to use the falsetto a few times.

Colors is cool and has some great moments, but it's easily surpassable. If they merely venture further into mature music and out of their cheesily angsty roots, we may have something here. More random interludes and more clean vocals, and we'd have a quality progressive band.
