Hi there.

I hope this poll never gets bashed or such, would be nice if we can keep it friendly and adult in here.

The reason why I made this poll is that I love rock with Hammond (or similar instruments).

So I did a txt of quite many keyboardists/organists and I wanted the poll to be about atleast 10 poll choices.

Also I wanted the big guys and the top rated guys not to be in this poll since they'll get almost all votes and the not so big guy would've end up at zero.

-

Please when making your choice read the name(s) and vote for the musician as an individual and not vote just because you like the band in the brackets, I named one band with each musician since it would make it easier for the voters to recognize what band he played/plays with.

You'll get ONE vote only.

When you're done with the voting you can tell why you voted for that musician... this is all up to you though it would be cool to hear.

If you're not familiar with any of these guys, please check them out here at PA or just pass on this poll, for all you others who for some reason(s) only listens to Emerson and the likes: I'll make one more poll atleast as good as this with about 10 great ones and on that same poll I'll add 10 legends... stay tuned for that it'll be added in about a day or two (please don't steal my idea).

Thank you all and rock on!

I forgot to mention: Vote for the one you like the most... the one with the better sound or the coolest technique.

Keyboard nut that I am, you haven't listed any that I have heard or know remotely about.  Well, what you can you say, when it comes to the world of music it's not a small world after all. LOL

Ten off the top of my head:
Vangelis
Rick Wakeman
Patrick Moraz
Chick Corea
Tomita
Tony Banks
Tori Amos
Joe Jackson
Keith Emerson
Lyle Mays
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Hey where's JON LORD!??

No vote, since I really don't know any of these, though I am a Hammond lover: Deep Purple, Atomic Rooster, Black Widow, and many others..

Wow, some lesser knowns, there is hope after all !!!!! Tired of Emerwakebanks !

I chose Gary Wright (The Mirror) is amazing ! Rinus Gerritsen was mostly a bassist though who added some synth frills on Moontan mostly. Max Thomas of City Boy (wow) . I think I will do a similarly odd poll.
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
