My first time seeing these guys live, and my first real concert (Other than a Bill Bruford Drum Clinic).

Boy, it was a night I AM NOT FORGETTING ANY TIME SOON. I went with my dad, it was my birthday present to see these guys, it sure was awesome.

They were just imaginably good. Seriously, I thought they only played really good on their live DVDs, they were amazing live!

The set list (in order):

-Constant Motion
-Never Enough
-Blind Faith
-Surrounded
-NADS
-Scarred
-Lines In The Sand
-In the Presence of Enemies (entirely)

Everyone was off the hook, musicianship wise. But the hero of the night, for me, was Jordan Ruddess. I knew he was a prodigy, but he was just godlike. Great concert. Horrid review!

You just had to be there Wink

They played Schmedley Wilcox as an encore right? It'd be odd if they didn't considering they played an encore every single show on the Chaos in Motion tour, and the ProgNation '08 dates. I was lucky enough to see the medley twice in 2 years Big%20smile.

Sounds like an amazing show though, lucky b*****d got to see them play Scarred.

^Yea! I got Erotomania and Voices, which is just as good to me. Hopefully I'll get Scarred sometime. I believe there is a new encore this tour, at least I got one.

well they played Schmedley Wilcox (trial of tears, finally free, learning to live, in the name of god, octavarium) sometimes and the new medley they only played on prognation08 (metropolis pt 1, learning to live, a change of seasons (the crimson sunset). You must've seen the 08 medley, both times I saw them they played Schmedley Wilcox, and I also got to see Erotomania and Voices (IMO the best off of Awake). Crowd went crazy during it.

Yeah they played the medley, I forgot to post it.

Man, Scarred was amazing, Petrucci improvised over the beginning of the song for like, 5 minutes. And Mike Portnoy started with some crazy fills at the end.

Great show.
