hello everyone... I guess I'm an old fart... the first show of any kind I ever saw was Crimson in Central Park, USA tour... second was Led Zep the second night of the Garden shows which became "The Song Remains The Same"... third was Yes outdoors at Randall's Island soccer stadium( i had my high school Chemistry final the next morning, had a 93 average going in and got a 67 on the test)... i talked to Dave Cousins on WNEW-FM when he was promoting "Ghosts"... I play guitar awfully well, but mostly acoustic, mostly slide, mostly blues (i've been called "prog folk") and I already resent being called a "newbie", let's do something about that... my favorite albums are all Robert Wyatt solo albums equally, as well as Matching Mole... the two "Hatfields" records, King Crimson everything from "Islands" to "Red", everything Ivor Cutler ever did(haven't seen him mentioned yet, I guess he doesn't rock too hard), love Caravan, Camel, Tuxedo Moon, Can, Vander graf, Gong in all of it's manifestations... Kevin Ayers... Focus... On the other hand, don't love the Strawbs as much as I used to, love Gentle Giant but can't play them when anyone else is in the house... i want to smack Peter Hamill... and Greg Lake (witnessed roadies soliciting underage girls for him once at the Garden)... you guys can't make fun of Phil Collins enough as far as I'm concerned... saw "Yes" totally making fun of Rick Wakeman once backstage (while he was WITH THE BAND!!!), love Genesis but Peter Gabriel solo approaches "Sting" territory sometimes (the way Phil approaches Bob Hoskins) What should I do, start reviewing albums? Will do. I love this site already...
