Anyway, our PA influences include Weather Report, Miles Davis, Jon Lord, Santana and the Ozrics. The keyboard player is a Reviewer for PA and we carry the PA logo proudly on our front page in the "friends" section.

Please leave a comment about the music on this thread if you want. Please don't judge us by one song, some songs have more "progressive" elements than others.

	Hi, Easy Money, I just took a listen to the songs on your MySpace page. Great music. Admittedly, I am only mildly interested in the jazz genre, so a jazz critic I am not, but as a music fan, I really enjoyed what I was hearing. I see that you have a lot of shows coming up in the Memphis area. Does your band ever perform outside of Tennessee? Have you heard of Baker's Keyboard Lounge here in Detroit? http://www.bakerskeyboardlounge.com/ I have no connection with them other than having seen a show their once, but if your band were to ever want to do a show in Detroit, that might be a good place for your band. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing.

	Hey Scott, thanks for the interest. If you look closely, the shows listed involve myself and/or Zazerac gtrst Troy Isom, but Zazerac itself is on break till I get a really dedicated bassist. I doubt we will be coming to Detroit soon, but we would love to someday. I really like 'old school' American cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, SF, NYC, and don't care much for the just built yesterday cities like LA and smaller suburban towns across the U.S. Just last night I watched a great documentary about the 68 Tigers, Denny McClain could play a mean jazzy B3 solo by the way, which he often did when he was off the field. P.S. Right now, the remnants of Zazerac are working with the remnants of eNeRGy D and are playing a great blend of jam band, live rave music, 70s psychedelic fusion and modern prog rock. I'll let you know if the new eNeRGy D is coming to Detroit, it's fun intelligent party music. Edited by Easy Money - August 30 2008 at 16:40

	OK, I see that now. Good luck on finding a dedicated bassist. I know it was probably a silly question about playing in Detroit since these days it is rarely economically feasible for a band to play outside of their home base, but the Detroit area is definitely a good market for jazz bands. I definitely love the Tigers, and although the '68 Tigers were 2 years before my time, I always enjoy reading about them or watching documentaries about them. I was at a ballgame earlier this year where they celebrated the 40th anniversary of their World Series victory, and after another game I got to meet Gates Brown and get his autograph. I'm heading down to the ball game tonight as well, which means I am going to have to pull myself away from the computer and get myself out to the old ball game.

	Lucky you, that you live in a city with a major league team. I do miss the Giants back in SF, truly a 'progressive' ball team. I don't mean to be a snob, but I just can't get interested in Memphis' minor league team, it just isn't the same, besides they're a farm team for the Cardinals (yuck!). 	It is funny that you should say that. There are times when I get fed up with the whole rat race and say that I am going to move to Delaware or Montana or some other sparsely populated state; or better yet move to paradise, aka Hawaii, in which my friends always remind me that they have no professional sports teams and that I would be bored out of my mind without them. It is nice having baseball all summer, football in the fall (although throughout my lifetime I might be better off without the Lions), and basketball and hockey in the winter.
