Yep! I'm already gathering up steam for this one!
I went with our beloved Yesmen in this poll. GG is enjoyable enough, no doubt about it, and out of the three records I have, I readily give two of them four stars (Octobus and Three Friends) But since CTTE is pretty much my all time favourite record, with The Yes Album not far behind, I can't see how I could vote any other way.

Opeth, KC, and Tull smoke their competition.

Indeed, but I think KC might have a slightly tough time with VDGG (though they'll still win) and I think the Opeth v. Zappa one will really be interesting because it'll bring up two completely different artists with fanbases that may be big on here but not near as to the forefront as even Dream Theater's. I think the biggest blowout is probably already over, and that's Genesis v. Dream Theater. And yeah, Tull will probably win that, but I'd say Mahavishnu will get a decent amount of votes. If you guys actually care, I could post some (or all, or whatever) of the brackets people actually filled out, since seeing the differences and similarities is interesting. One weird thing I noted is that every single person had Yes over Gentle Giant, and that no one had Opeth over Frank Zappa (those who had anything over Zappa said The Moody Blues over Opeth and then over Zappa, but that obviously didn't happen).

Well, thanks to everyone who participated in round 1!! (especially since my bracket is barely in second place)
Here are the matchups for this round, for whomever is interested: Round 2 E1. #1 Genesis v. #3 Dream Theater E2. #4 Camel v. #2 Emerson, Lake and Palmer F1. #1 Yes v. #3 Gentle Giant F2. #4 Marillion v. #2 Rush G1. #1 King Crimson v. #3 Van Der Graaf Generator G2. #5 Mahavishnu Orchestra v. #2 Jethro Tull H1. #1 Pink Floyd v. #3 Porcupine Tree H2. #5 Opeth v. #2 Frank Zappa
This should be interesting!

KC vs VDGG looks a very tough one and PF vs PT should be a blowout for PF but I've got a sneaky feeling it will be tight. What happened to Gong? When I looked at the Round 1 Poll they were tied at 23-23 when the poll closed. What was the tiebreaker?

VDGG has a loyal... but small fanbase... KC wins ..hmmm... 65% -35% I'd say Opeth v. Zappa... the same... Zappa has a fanatical.. but limiting fanbase since his discography is so daunting. Opeth is a band that the new ..and old prog fans can really dig. Won't be close I suspect. Tull destroys MO... Tull is actually my favorite to win the whole thing.

Upset city, I'm calling VdGG over Crimson, and in a shocker, Camel over ELP! They're feeling high from their victory over those wacky Kobaians

That's interesting. I'd say they're pretty good predictions, but we'll see what happens. I just hope Zappa at least makes this round, since I have him winning (I am a Rush and Zappa fanatic, but I realize how Rush is on this site). I realize how much of a miracle my prediction would take, but it would be sweet.

Tough choice here. I've seen both live, GG in a small venue while Yes in an arena but I went with Yes. Wakeman era Yes was epic while GG never reached that status in the U.S of A.

I rather prefer Yes I know all of it and I can listen it always. GG I thin k it has great songs but too experimental for my taste of course the supreme Octopus and Free Hand I love those but still don't compare to Yes Album, Fragile, CTTE, TFTO or Relayer.
