These guys use all the old style prog instruments but they don't really sound like a copy of the old bands. The style of songs are quite interesting and catchy prog rock tunes |

really digging the music.... but I'm a sucker for keyboard centered prog...
I don't agree at all with the artist ...or whoever wrote this though... ''m following the music that was called Progressive rock by the media about 40 years ago. It's called Progressive rock, but the style of music doesn't have to be inventive and break boundaries. It's really jazz rock and it's exciting and that makes the songs progressive because they stay interesting after many listens. I'm not following the modern era which has been labelled progressive rock because it's not the same music. These new bands have taken the Progressive label the wrong way and are trying to invent new styles of guitar based music but the actual songs aren't exciting, so they are not actually progressing.' |
