The Esoteric Connexion (AUS)

A little bit of background first....

the bandband himself on MySpace wrote: About The Esoteric Connexion A project slowly developed over time by Damon Good, primarily a bassist and guitarist, which has finally met the light of day for the purpose of exploring the varying realms of influence he finds upon himself which see no real limitations in the near future. Damon Good has and does perform in many well-known Australian extreme Metal-orientated bands (under differing psuedonyms), either full-time or session including Stargazer, Mournful Congregation, Misery's Omen, Portal and Cauldron Black Ram. Though somehow The Esoteric Connexion is a complete left turn from the thus stated bands. The exploration is only just beginning......

Then an opinion on this man's effort. I feel the exploration is worth continuing. The extreme metal bands that Damon plays in don't show through in the Esoteric Connexion. The music is very listenable (not saying that metal isn't - to the right ears ). Not sure if it all fits a prog (sub)genre, but definetely worth checking out for the Pyschedelic and Avant folks amongst us, and maybe a few prog metal folks as well.
All four tracks on MySpace are quite different.

By the way - I feel that So Few Part 2 could have been part of an Ennio Morricone composition, for an imaginary western called 'So Few Came Back'.
