"Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors"... The solo Fish debut album. For me a really good album.

But... Which is your love song?

Cliche for me, too. The lead guitar riff is sublime. I really like the extended solo Robin Boult played for it on the Sunsets on Empire: Live in Poland 1997 DVD.

I went for Vigil, but A View from a Hill is close.

The Company.

Some of Fish's material is sorta sappy. This isn't one of those.

Cliché, with Gentleman's Excuse Me in second place. These are the only tracks that could be called love songs on this album though.

If someone dares voting Family Business, I'll have them eat the lyric sheet... Pinch

Vigil - one of the best Fish tracks, Cliche - one of the beautiful ones. So... today I'm in the mood for Cliche.

I really like this album. Songs like Vigil, Cliche, Family Business, and Gentleman's Excuse Me are not that easy to be found packed in any one album (esp by Fish sadly) these days.

I voted for Gentleman's Excuse Me because of its great piano and strings arrangement, the best work by an underrated Mickey Simmonds. I believe if I play it today I still am intrigued. Cliche, on the other hand, has the beautiful lyrics ever written by Fish.

Sadly he cant produce anything of the same standards these days.

"A Gentleman's Excuse Me" and "Cliche"
