It has been suggested that Apple will release a 100 or 120 Gb Ipod.  I have so much music that this will help me out big time.  Anybody heard if this is true?

Propably not too unlikely, now that they(can't remember the manufacturer)'ve started making 100 and 120GB drives, Apple will propably follow soon by fitting these into their players.

I would shy away from being an "early adopter" of the higher density drives until they are proven to be robust enough for iPlods. Over the past year I've been retro-fitting smaller drives into Laptops because the bigger ones crash to often.
What?

I certainly hope that this is true. I've been waiting for the beginning of 100gb+ capacity for years. I too have a lot of music on my computer, and, although still not being enough capacity to meet my demands, is still a highly appriciated effort on Apple's part.

At present I have an 80gb iPod, and don't think I will upgrade until it breaks.

If the rumours prove to be true some time, I might get one. The 2 GB iPod Nano I have now isn't really enough, I feel. But I fear that I won't be able to afford a 100 GB iPod. The reason I haven't upgraded to a 80 GB one is that it's way over my budget.
