My first successful/coherent epic, and other songs

The epic is "Crime vs Crime", based on a true story of a soldier who learns the politics of the iraq war and refuses the order to go back to Iraq and is arrested. He could be a morally right person or a traitor, it's up to anyone to decide what he is. Musically, it is completely instrumental, divided into many sections connected together. All played by me, multitracking piano/keyboard tracks. It's classical/symphonic prog and features time changes, church organs and all that crap though I tried my best to avoid cliches.

The other three songs:
_One Last Dream: A "prog" song with vocals dealing with a woman suffering from delusions/nightmares. She thinks she is cured and wants to get her life back in track, but her sickness reigns one again and me and Kay Cuffari (singer/flute) wrote some crazy/scary stuff in that 2nd half.

_A Tribute to Ale: A more normal song with catchy and melodic piano during verses/choruses (it has some "crime of the century" feel) and a more symphonic middle part. It's dedicated to my bro (He's not dead!)

_A Birth to Zitro : The first half of the epic I will probably finish by mid-march. It's experimental, proggy, and almost like metal in parts, but due to being a bit incoherent , I'm not really pleased with it. This song deals with my difficult teenage life and self-esteem issues during that time. I associate the nickname' "Zitro" with my teenage life.

mmm, I don't think there's much resemblence. If you say "firth of fifth" I'll probably agree. It accidently sounded like that genesis song due to the piano arpeggios and flutes.

Thanks, any suggestions on things (if any) that don't sound right to your ears?

Wow that's some really nice stuff! Really impressive, I could never write piano music like that. Piano is really difficult for me I still haven't really figured it out! But damn, that song flows really smoothly. You can barely tell it's almost 10 minutes long. Same goes to the other songs as well man. Definately keep that up!

and yes, it has a "disco queen" sound in the choruses hehe
