I have their first CD, "Mer of Noms", and while I'm not crazy about it (I find it a bit too samey and depressing), it is undoubtedly a good record, with quite a few proggy elements. As a matter of fact, I've seen A Perfect Circle defined as "prog rock" at least a couple of times, and at first I was surprised not to find the band here on PA.

maybe as prog related ... but I can't see it as prog metal. I guess I'll add the band to the chart and see what the team says.

I added them to the prog metal chart, you can monitor them there. Eventually the team members will vote for or against their inclusion.

Maybe Prog Related or art rock or prog metal. I have doubt about it too but I think that A Perfect Circle is really defined like prog rock band.
I will check the Prog Metal Chart. Thanks.

I'd say Alternative Metal, but they can also be seen as a Independent Rock band - it's hard to pin down. But most of the Prog Metal team members know the band, so it's best to ask them.Wink

I have all their 3 CDs and I saw their videos..."The Outsider" is more complex than the whole STYX discography I guess!!!
