If you were given carte blanche to spin anything you wanted for 1 hour on the local "classic rock" station what would your selections be? Here's my classic "prog" hour:

Time Robber-Omega

Birth-Focus

No Lullaby-Jethro Tull

Islands-King Crimson

Phasing- Hoelderlin

Prepetual Change (live)-Yes

Well, I would begin with Genesis' "Firth of Fifth", but I believe that radio station manager would kick me before the song ends...

1 hour to a proghead is not that long considering that most of our favs are probably half that to begin with. How about a two hour show?

Nevermore - U.K.

Siberian Khatru - Yes

Time is Right - Manfred Mann's Earth Band

The Great Deciever - King Crimson

Assurance - Izz

Uncle - Echolyn

Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull

Karn Evil 9 (1,2,3 impression) - Emerson, Lake and Palmer

I threw in two "modern proggers" to reduce the amount of geritol needed to get this gig off the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An hour, eh?

Pink Floyd - One Of These Days (5:56)

Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick - Part One (22:39) (a waste of time? I don't think so!)

Strawbs - Hero And Heroine (3:20)

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Karn Evil 9 (1st Impression - Part 1) (8:44)

King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man, Including Mirrors (7:20)

Frank Zappa - Toads Of The Short Forest (4:48)

Captain Beefheart - The Dust Blows Forward 'N The Dust Blows Back (1:53)   [or Ella Guru (2:26)]

Yes - I've Seen All Good People: Your Move / All... (6:47)

I need another hour!

Focus - Anonymous Two (26:58)

Supersister - She was naked (3:43)

Soft Machine - Why are we sleeping? (5:26)

Gentle Giant - Free Hand (6:14)

Frank Zappa - The Gumbo Variations (16:57)

Wow! I wouldn't need my CD's for two hours!
