I think Adrian Belew was mocking a particular band when he wrote the lyrics to Happy with what you have to be happy with. Does anybody know if that's the case or if there's a story to this?
For some reason I think it's Porcupine Tree. Don't get me wrong, I like PT as much as anyone, and I know Belew plays two solos on Deadwing, and that Fripp and Belew (individually) opened for PT. The reference to the use of distortion pedals and the sudden switches to metal riffs.. I'm gonna have to write a chorus... I don't know, it's a hunch and I might as well be way off base.

You kind of got a point there, I mean, your points sound very accurate and all, but I don't think that Mr. Belew would do that to a friend of his. I don't really know but its just my opinion.
