Second band I didn't hear... About EdgarWinter... Well, I think this song can be categorize as prog, but there appears another problem. Lots of bands from early 70s had prog elemets. I maen why can't we name Sabbath debut "progressive blues"? Or Savoy Brown "Raw sienna" - isn't it a prog. But bette call it their own styles with addiction - genre with prog elements. It's more useful IMHO

Whatever it is, it was a kick ass instrumental when it first came out. But the "classic" rock stations like CHOM FM here in Montréal play the crap out of it as they do other tracks. There`s also an awful cover version of it out by the same guy who also butchered Focus` Hocus Pocus back in 1993. If you listen to the original album that it came out on, "They Only Come Out At Night" you`ll find that the rest of the album is in more of a jazz-rock vein.
