Ok before you start to scream and run away: Once upon a time way back in the 50's a young DJ enters the record buiseness. He is interested in studio-technics and devellops interesting 'progressive' recording technics, especially in terms of 'reverbaration' to create appropriate 'audio space'. Looking out for young talents he meets the young guitarist Duanne Eddy in 1955 and devellops together with Eddy the 'typical twangy guitar sound.: Eddy the 'twang', Lee the sound (The collaboration between the 2 would last up till the early 60's) Hanging out in the studio was a young man, who is observing closely what Lee is doing in terms of Studio technics and will use this later for his own 'wall of sound' : Phil Spector, which leads us directly to the 'Beatles', modern Studio Technics and Prog
.
Lee Hazlewood took not only his part in developping recording technics, he was/is a fine sogwriter with hits like 'Summerwine and 'Theses Boots...'. On this Double CD you find all his studio recordings for MGM including the LP 'Something Special'.If you like nicely crafted songs and a great voice go for it!
