I just listened to Awaken again to refresh my memory and it sounds as great now as when I first heard it in 1977 I will have to see if Cassadra Geminni sounds as good to me after a similar gap. Its a very different song though but good none the less.

Live it is a tour de force a majestic track held in awe by yes fans. i cannot think of a track since then that has the reverence of Awaken until in 2005 The Mars Volta produced Cassandra Geminni off Frances the Mute. Live Cassandra takes up a frequency that resonates with every nerve and fibre so that each and every molecule in your body feels like its about to suer nova! I kid you not. Perhaps only time will tell by asia comes any where near ( OK i am kidding there, i have to make fun of Asia at least once per post)

Please Discuss, hang on wait till i put my Tin Helmet on...........OK Begin

Oh yeah, because The Mars Volta is just like Blink 182...

People can compare anything and rightfully so. Assuming they know how, wink wink.

It's like comparing apples and oranges.

On one side, you have a great symphonic track, full of beautiful melodies, with a singer who is pleasant to hear. On the other side , you have a very noisy piece of music with an irratating singer who's always screaming and the music has absolutely no hooks or memorable melodies at all...

To each is own I guess...

Its odd, coz at NO point did I say I DID NOT like it!! It has noisy filler, like most of the album does, but that is part of the atmosphere. I just think it was a bit too much for me. Anyway, we can all have opinions and express them eh? Isn't that what a forum is FOR??

Oh and, please eat some pizza, you're getting too thin...

However not as good as deloused by any means, frances the mute is still a good album

the album flaws in much "noisy fillers" after both the first tracks, then five minutes of silence before track 4

also L'via is way too repetitive and doesn't go along with the same feel as the rest of the album

but cassandra is a great piece with no "noisy fillers" its pretty damn perfect

I LOVE This drummer

later

If I had a puppy I would name it Tessa so it would cooperate well.

That is the most blatant misuse of a laughing smily i have ever seen. Call me back when you have had some funny lessons you Twat!

There stands Olias to outward to build a ship
Holding within all we hope to retain
The frame will be so built to challenge the universe
Clasped with the skins of the fish of the plain
