lets change a little bit.

What is the most happiest album you own?

the one that when you hear it, it makes you want to smile. Not the one that makes you want to dance.

I'll name two of mine to give an example:

Harmonium - Sin on avait besoin d'une cinquemme saison

Sigur Ros -  Takk

these two albums make me smile but it also makes me want to cry because they are beautiful.

I'm talking about that kind of hapiness, the one that makes you want to cry.

Most of Yes albums, especially The Yes Album, Close To The Edge and Going For The One.

Although Pink Floyd's mood is usually depressing, I find Meddle to be a quite happy album as well.
Suritis: The Remembering.
Hopefully we should appreciate that given points in time are not so significant as the nature of what is impressed on the mind, and how it is retained and used.

I noticed alot of albums that are very "happy". But do they really are so happy that they move you to tears by listening them ?

Mr. Bungle's debut!

Overall I don't like cheery music, but that one's great

Since you didn't specify prog albums, I'll say Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by the Flaming Lips, all Van Halen albums, and nearly all Robert Plant albums.

I'm not sure how many truly happy prog albums I have. Nursery Cryme, Close to the Edge and Going for the One are all fairly happy I think.

  • Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick (if I'm depressed, this extraordinary album makes me 100% happy, and that something for me)
  • Rick Wakeman - Six Wives (yeah, why not)

Mogwai's Happy Songs For Happy People responds exactly that statement.
