Words from P.H. himself....

"At present there are no plans for any further shows or recordings for this incarnation of Van der Graaf Generator. After the experiences of the last couple of years I'm reluctant to utter the word "never" in the context of the group but it does seem unlikely that this line-up will attempt anything else in the immediate future. A fascinating ride it's been but time's up. In due course I expect we'll explain things further".

He is working on a new solo album (of course!) due out in new year. Hugh Banton has been doing re-working of RFH recording and this will be released soon.

Damnit...I just recently got heavily into VDGG's stuff...

I have a DVD of the current tour...and while it was nice...some of it was kind of sloppy performance-wise.  Transistions were kind of off, Hamill forgot lyrics, and came in too early at times in the song.  I'm going to probably blame this on old age though...and maybe a lackluster night on their end...who knows.

Shame though...

In that case I'm glad I went to one of their concerts last year. I'm not that surprised about the news. Still, it's a pity  .

I was lucky to see them at Shepherd's Bush Empire, but I would have loved to have seen them at R.F.H., but I could not get tickets and this was in December, hence why I went to a later show.

I was also hoping for another studio album, but we can only hope.  Glad pH is doing another solo project though, does anyone have any ideas if any of the rest of VdGG are on this album?  Maybe a few tracks will contain the whole band?  We can but hope.  It's be like VdGG I guess if that was the case.

I am also anxiously waiting for the R.F.H. CD, even though I have it a bootleg of it.  Peter also said there maybe a DVD coming out, so that would be excellent too.  It'll probably be for that telivised gig however and not R.F.H., does anyone have any idea if that gig was a good one?

I shall try hard to obtain all there 2005 concerts via bootleg.  Peter said himself in his newsletter than he doesn't mind, as long as it's not used for profitable purposes.
