Prog definatly seems whitewashed. There are some asian or hispanic bands but most performers are caucasians, and the only blacks in prog I cant think of are the drummer in a local prog metal band from my area and the bassist for kings x (the latter being nominally prog at best.) Why are there so few blacks in prog. Anyone care to comment

Also if there are any black people on this board i would be very interested to hear wht you have to say on this matter

We've had this debate before. If you look at the more jazz/world influenced acts you'll find it's a different story, ditto most of Zappa's backing groups.
