OK people while doing research for T2, I came accross this list ... thought they might be something here to trigger your memory ... I think this is off freakemporium ... any bands you know that we should add?
I have Blackfeather's first album, definitely worth adding, as is Man ... I think one or two bands are already here (HIgh Tide and Janus) ... but this list is worth perusing, nonetheless ...

Bachdenkel - Lemmings. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0004)
Super rare progressive rock album by a UK band who started in 1968 in Birmingham, moved to France recorded this album in 1970 and saw it released in 1973 by Phillips. By 1975 the band had split up. A lost gem of UK progressive rock it is reminiscent of the lighter sound of early Barclay James Harvest, but with a weirder progressive edge. Laid back but intense and an unusual progressive rock release finally available to a wider audience. Features three bonus tracks from the original EP that came with the record.
Bachdenkel - Stalingrad. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0010)
The second and last album by this obscure UK progressive rock band who released albums in France. Bacon Fat - Tough Dude. CD, £15.00
Second album from 1971 by this killer LA blues/rock band, also originally released on the Blue Horizon label and also stupidly rare and sought after. With Rod Piazza still out front, harp in hand, wailing his soul and J.D. Nicholson suppling piano and vocals Tough Guys has much to recommend it to fans of the group's debut and anyone who would like to hear one of the west-coasts greatest harmonica players.

Darxtar - Darxtar. CD, £10.00 (SPM - SPMWWRCD0029)
Hard to find debut album of Hawkwind like psychedelic acid rock. Incredible trippy space rock with rolling keyboards, fluid guitar, and fantastic songs. A best seller.
Eiliff - Eiliff. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM WWR CD 0067)
A Great German band who released this debut album in 1971. Defining the Krautrock sound via their sheer diversity Eliff had the power of the Mahvishnu Orchestra, the invention of Guru Guru and the diversity of Out Of Focus. Eiliff is one of the most complex Kraut rock albums of the era with intense instrumental interplay and great guitar work. English lyrics, high quality sound and some great music for lovers of the Canterbury styled progressive sound.
Eiliff - Girlrls. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR CD0068)
A Great German band who released this their second album in 1972. Defining the Krautrock sound via their sheer diversity Eliff had the power of the Mahvishnu Orchestra, the invention of Guru Guru and the diversity of Out Of Focus. This album is shorter and more condensed than their debut and perhaps harder and more psychedelic but it's still worthy of your attention.
Frantic - Conception. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0049)
This US band from Montana made a great unreleased album in 1968 as The Frantics and then in 1971 cut the "s" and unleashed this strong hard rock album leaning towards an MC5 influence. Recorded in 1970, the album includes fine versions of "Hey Joe" and "Morning Dew" as well as a hard rock version of The Pretty Things "Midnight To Six Man" and some strong originals all threaded with ripping guitar work.File along with Power Of Zeus and Yesterdays Children.
Groundhogs - Extremely Live. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM 002)
1988 live album by the Hogs recorded in Germany featuring the T.S. McPhee/Dave Anderson/Mick Jones lineup. Includes Split, Soldier, and other classics.
Gypsy - Brenda And The Rattlesnake. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0062)
The second album by the UK band who, soundwise, owed a great deal to West Coast US bands and in particular Moby Grape. This record dates from 1972 and retains the melodic country rock sound of the debut album but features a slicker production and some nice pedal steel guitar work.
Hazchem - Strange Attractor. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0011)
In 1990 members of '70's UK underground legends The High Tide, Kingdom Come and Third Ear Band got together to make this album under the name Hazchem. As you would expect this is an eclectic and weird concoction with a spacey feel mixing the harder edges of progressive rock with the flowing eastern improvisation of The Third Ear band. Vocals are handled by female vocalist Sushi Krishnamurthi who also wrote some of the material. An interesting experiment.
High Tide - Ancient Gates. CD, £13.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0007)
Featuring the ubiquitous Tony Hill on guitar this 1990 CD also includes two long tracks with vocals by Sushi Krishnamurthi and combines the best of UK space/psych rock with eastern influences to create an eclectic mix that never fails to surprise and entertain.
Janus - Gravedigger. CD, £15.00 (SPM - F35)
Long overdue CD of this UK bluesy, spacey heavy progressive rock album from 1972 originally released on Harvest Records and recorded in Germany. Some lengthy heavy tracks with some great 70's style riffs mixed with soft gentle cosmic psychedelic passages, and wailing 70's vocals. This re-issue contains 5 bonus tracks.
Janus - Sea Of Sighs. CD, £5.55 (SPM - SPM WWRCD 0072)
The return of the progressive giants with a brand new album recorded in 2002.This time the band are in a more mellow mood than their debut album "Gravedigger" from the early 70's. Progressive rock with haunting cello's,swirling keyboards and liquid guitar playing.
Little Free Rock - Time Is Of No Consequence. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM WWR CD 0020)
A great collection by this cult UK band, of pre-album (1969) demos, and post album unreleased material (recorded in 1971 whilst Little Free Rock was managed by Robert Stigwood). Moving from the more Cream like sound of their early material to the later Afro jamming influenced rock sound this is a good round-up of everything but the single album they recorded for Transatlantic. Sleeve notes by Nigel Cross (Bucketfull of Brains)
Lord Flimnap - Point Of View. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD 0002)
Ultra obscure late'70's Israeli progressive rock album that is often thought of as a UK obscurity owing to the fact it sounds very "English". A kind of acoustic Gravy Train or Fruup this is finely crafted fragile progressive with complex arrangements and that "private pressing" feel. The album is named after Lilliput's treasurer, from the famous "Gulliver's travels" novel and the band was a trio ; 15 year old Ohad Goldbart (Keyboards, Acoustic guitars, Voice) along with 16 year olds Itay Eyal (Guitars, Bass, Voice) and Alon Weissman (Drums, Voice). Despite the young age the band produced a very mature album in the tradition of English bands such as early King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Hatfield and the North and Soft Machine. This is the reason why "Point of View" doesn't sound like an Israeli album at all.
Luv Machine - Luv Machine. CD, £14.00 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0048)
Very rare heavy progressive rock band from New Zealand who's album was banned from many countries due to the artwork depicting open female legs protruding from a record player! ? Musically it's driving heavy progressive rock typical of New Zealand and Australia (like Human Instinct but a bit harder) In places the band have a Hendrix vibe wjilst at other times UK early '70's bands such as Human Beast come to mind. Overall this is a pretty good album!

Magic Muscle - Laughs & Thrills, Live 1972. CD, £12.00 (SPM - SPM WWR CD 0021)
One of the unsung heroes of the early '70's UK Festival scene who often played with Hawkwind and the Pink Fairies. This live CD is filled with free flowing open air psych / space / freak-rock from 1972, recorded in Paris.
Man - Live At The Rainbow 1972. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD 0001)
Great performance from 1972 by the much loved UK Welsh psych jamming band, recorded during the pinnacle of their career. Including a fifteen minute version of "C'Mon" a fourteen minute "Bananas" and twenty minute "Life On the Road" this is a great document of an era when track length and not size mattered ...
String Driven Thing - String Driven Thing. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD-0027)
Debut album from 1972 by this often overlooked UK Progressive Folk Rock band who shared the stage with The Pink Fairies and Edgar Broughton band. Critically applauded at the time this album features rough edged melodic progressive rock with male and female vocals and violin that in places can be compared to a lighter folkier version of High Tide.
Terry Brooks And Strange - To Earth With Love. CD, £11.09
The third album(from 1980) by the US acid rock guru/guitarist who made the mind melting "Translucent World Of" and equally intense "Raw Power". This album does not disappoint with plenty of mind frying guitar mayhem and the addition of a some punked up late '70's energy. At times the Tubes or even Roky Erikson and The Aliens come to mind whilst the vocals are reminiscent of early Blue Cheer! Includes a bonus track.
Tony Hill - Playing For Time. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPM-WWR-CD 0016)
The only solo album by the ex-member of High Tide and the Misunderstood. A collection of demos and assorted live recordings dating mainly from 1975 - 1977 this is album also features Drachen Theaker on drums (ex Crazy World Of Arthur Brown) and Pete Pavli (ex High Tide) . An essential archive item for collectors of UK progressive psychedelia.
Tucky Buzzard - Warm Slash. CD, £11.09 (SPM - SPMCD 004)
This is actually The End after they changed their name in 1969. TB's first album and typical of their style; hard living rock with an American influence. Rough edged riffs and soulful, powerful vocals. Like The End the band were produced by Bill Wyman.
Ursa Major - Ursa Major. CD, £11.09
This 1972 album was put together by a three piece Michigan based band featuring Dick Wagner - guitar (ex the Frost) Greg Arama - bass (ex Amboy Dukes) and Ricky Mangone - drums. The album is suitably hard edged rock with Dick Wagner's vocals to the fore in a style reminiscent of the third Frost album including epic sweeping production and some great fluid guitar work. Very much an early '70's old school "rock" album.
